TRAINING: Carbon Masters

Details:**TENTATIVE TIME FOR DAY FIELD TRIP** Have you ever wondered how you can make a positive difference in the face of something as huge as climate change? Learn why our climate is changing, what this means to you, and how you can make a difference. Wednesday evenings May 9 – June 13, plus 2 Saturday field trips (May 19 & June 9) to alternative energy sites. The Carbon Masters™ program trains volunteer educators on credible climate change science, public policy activities, and energy saving techniques that also saves money. Participants exchange 30 hours of professional training for a 50 hour minimum volunteer service commitment. Volunteers encourage positive behavior change through civic engagement over the course of one year. Climate Change Impacts Everyone. Together WE CAN Make a Difference. Applications are due on April 30. Registration is $40 for materials, as well as a deposit of $60, which will be refunded to participants upon completion of 50 volunteer hours (waivers available). A group orientation will be held on May 1, at 6 PM in McCollum Park, Everett.
